Twin Valley City Council News & Notes from February 13th Meeting
By Mark Askelson (2/13/17)
Twin Valley, MN -- The City of Twin Valley had their regular monthly council meeting on Monday night. During the meeting, they spoke with Fire Chief John Gall, who was given the go ahead last month to find a suitable replace for their current grass fire rig. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says he purchased a 2007 F-250 and it’s currently being set up and equipped for use this summer.
The Twin Valley City Council and EDA committee both had brief discussions on making some updates to the Community Center. Mayor Fall says the talk has been very informal at this point, but it’s in definite need of a facelift.
And since their neighbors to the west are currently in a pickle without their event center, Fall wanted to remind people that the Twin Valley Community Center, despite the need for a facelift, is still a great, affordable option for people to host their events and gatherings.
The Twin Valley City Council also approved a gaming permit for the Moonshiners Snowmobile Club, approved Airport Appropriations for the 2015, 2016, 2017 year, and awarded a bid of $3850 to Visser Trenching for the demolition and removal of the property at 310 2nd Street NW.
