Part Time on Air Position

KRJB 106.5FM is looking for ON AIR talent to help fill the mid-day airwaves on 100,000 watt radio. We are looking for someone who will take the air with a positive attitude and community focused. Country music format, with interest in local news, weather, sports, and farm is preferred. Applicants need to be comfortable talking about music, the local events and how the crops look in the fields. Duties will include on air from 10am to 2pm, interviews, special projects to help the news department, website updating and social media content, remote broadcasts and monthly weekend rotation. A team player and positive attitude with organizational skills is a must in this position. Knowledge of audio editing and automation equipment a plus, but is not required. KRJM 101.5 FM in Mahnomen, MN R & J Broadcasting Inc. is looking for an individual with a desire to work in Radio and would like to work on-air. Position is Part Time for on-air responsibilities. Applicants can drop off applications at KRJM Radio in Mahnomen.

Person must have interest in on-air broadcasting, news reporting, reading the news, possible sports play-by-play announcing, and bring excitement to the air.  R&J Broadcasting, Inc. attended a career fair which was held at the Waubun High School gymnasium. While at the career fair, Sean Bjerk, R & J Broadcasting, Inc.  Sales Rep and on-air talent visited with students in grades 11 and 12 about their future plans, described the broadcast business, and also  provided employment information IF any future openings regarding R&J Broadcasting Inc.

Jim Birkemeyer visited Radio Class at Northland Community and Technical College. Shared information about  radio and the broadcasting career.  Answered questions of  students about the radio broadcasting industry.  Shared with students R & J Broadcasting, Inc. information should  any students be interested  IF  any future job  openings within R & J Broadcasting, Inc.
