Pine River-Backus Schools Superintendent Updates on Schools’ COVID-19 Situation

In the wake of classes being cancelled at Pine River-Backus schools on Wednesday, October 14, we spoke with superintendent Jon Clark to get an update on what’s going on.

Clark first summarized the situation, saying that the school was notified Tuesday evening of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case was present. Due to the logistical issues present, Clark said the best thing to do was to simply cancel classes for the rest of the week.

Clark said that all contact tracing had been completed and that all levels of school, K-12, will reopen on Monday as normal.
