Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Thursday morning, November 12th. At the meeting they got an update on the school’s Return to Learn Plan. Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Suda says they are going away from the color code system for schools and switching to a phased approach to help eliminate confusion.

It wasn’t until a day after the meeting that the school learned that winter sports would be on hold until December 14th, but the Hillsboro School Board did discuss their initial plans for attendance and games.

The Hillsboro School will be receiving more than $350,000 in COVID assistance, which Suda says will help cover all those added expenses the district has incurred this year.

Also at last week’s meeting, the board received a presentation on how distance learning is being conducted in the Elementary via the SeeSaw program.
