NMPH: You Can’t Test Out of Quarantine
By Mark Askelson firstname.lastname@example.org (12/1/20)
Ada, MN — Norman-Mahnomen Public Health is reminding those who were exposed to someone with COVID-19 that you cannot “Test Out” of quarantine. It may take a week or even longer for the virus to replicate enough to be detected, which is why individuals who have been exposed to someone with the virus are encouraged to get tested a week after their last day of exposure. However, regardless of a negative test, Sarah Kjono of Norman-Mahnomen Public Health says these people need to stay home and quarantine for 14 days from their last day of exposure.
If you have questions regarding quarantine, testing, or anything COVID-19 related, please contact your local Public Health office.
Sarah Kjono is scheduled to provide more updates during our COVID-19 conversation this Wednesday at 11am on 106.5 KRJB.
