McGregor Public Schools “Year in Review”

(McGregor, MN) — McGregor Public Schools Superintendent Brad Johnson had a whirlwind of a 2020 of teaching, switching jobs, and moving to a new district all during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We continue our Year in Review series for area school districts, this time speaking about the McGregor School District.
Superintendent Brad Johnson spoke about the quick turnaround back in March of going from full in-person learning to distance learning for the entire State and how smaller districts struggled with web-based connectivity for students.
Coming over from the Benson Area School District during the summer months, Johnson took over as Superintendent and was dropped right into the middle of multiple projects.
For the start of the school year, a few challenges with staffing due to COVID-19 presented themselves early.
McGregor Schools are on pace for their in-person return in mid-January, with students just as ready as staff to return.
