Central Lakes College Monthly Update – January 2021
(BRAINERD, MN) — Central Lakes College’s spring semester is now underway, and to get our monthly update with the school, we spoke with the school’s president, Dr. Hara Charlier.
Dr. Charlier began by taking a look back on the fall semester for 2020; she admitted it was one of the most difficult semesters she’s been a part of, but added that given the circumstances, she was happy with the results in the end.
Turning the lens toward the spring, we asked about how things have been shaping up at CLC with classes having started on Monday, January 11. Dr. Charlier expressed enthusiasm about the energy everyone was bringing.
For the spring semester, many classes at CLC are remaining online due to the current coronavirus landscape. Dr. Charlier talked about the various ways the school was trying to make their offerings a true experience, rather than simply another round of online classes.
There is still time for prospective students to enroll for courses in the spring of 2021, with the deadline being Friday, January 15. Dr. Charlier talked about the process to get started with enrollment as well as the advantages to enrolling now, versus waiting and enrolling in the fall.
Finally, Dr. Charlier talked about the advantages CLC presents in the current environment from a financial perspective.
We thank Dr. Charlier for her time. The website for Central Lakes College can be found here. Our full interview with Dr. Charlier can be found below.
