Twin Valley SnoMo Days Providing Fun Winter Activities
Twin Valley, MN — Whether you enjoy sledding, sliding, skating, or snowmobiling, the Twin Valley Community Boosters encourage you to get outside over the next couple weeks and enjoy some fun winter activities during their annual SnoMo Days! SnoMo Days has a rich history in the community which dates back to the days of when Viking Snowmobiles were produced in Twin Valley, according to Twin Valley City Clerk and Community Boosters members Rachel Johnson.
SnoMo Days will kick off this Sunday, January 31st from 1-4pm with family sledding at Bueng Hill. Johnson states that almost anyone who grew up in the area has memories of sledding down Bueng Hill and this is a great opportunity for parents to pass the joy along to their kids on the biggest hill in town.
SnoMo Days continues over the next few weekends with Human Bonspiel on February 6th and Al’s Vintage Snowmobile Ride on February 13th. The Twin Valley Skating Rink is also expected to open soon. But besides those scheduled events, Johnson says there’s lot of ways to get out and enjoy winter in the community on your own time.
The usual kickoff to SnoMo Days is the Wild Rice Conservation Club’s annual Supper at the Community Center. That event was originally scheduled for this Saturday, but unfortunately was cancelled due to COVID-19. For more information about SnoMo Days, visit the Twin Valley Community Club Facebook Page.
