(Aitkin, MN) — Activity at the Line 3 Pipeline building sites and outdoor recreation safety were included among many topics with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida’s monthly update.
Sheriff Guida recently chatted about how activity, at the end of January, at the Line 3 pipeline has been more subdued.
Now as Enbridge moves on with the replacement of the pipeline, further actions in the way of protests and demonstrations have led to further enforcement.
Sheriff Guida transitioned into talking snowmobile safety as trails in Aitkin County continue to be built.
Ice fishing also provides its own risks, which Sheriff Guida reminds that no ice is 100% safe.
Sheriff Guida also says to be aware of potential scams as people are trying to steal COVID-19 relief checks over the phone.
Sheriff Guida also talked about population at the Aitkin County Jail, school resource officers at McGregor Schools, outdoor recreation safety, and winter driving safety. You can hear our full update with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida here:
