Gary Rescue Squad Raising Money for New Medical Monitoring Device
Gary, MN — The Gary Rescue Squad is currently seeking donations to purchase a new medical monitoring device for their department. The EMS ZOE Medical Monitor a mobile monitor that will help the department more accurately assess the patient’s vital information such as blood pressure, EKG, respiration, pulse, oxygen level, and carbon monoxide levels. The Gary Rescue Squad is hoping to raise $10,000 to purchase the device. Gary Mayor Buck Engen says important to note that their rescue squad is its own independent agency and is essential funded completely through donations.
Engen, who also serves as the town’s Fire Chief, says it’s vitally important to keep their Rescue Squad and first responders well equipped as the nearest hospital is usually about 15 minutes away.
