Aitkin County HHS meets with Board of Commissioners on February 23rd

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Health & Human Services Department convened with the Board of Commissioners Tuesday morning from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room to discuss the latest concerns for their monthly meeting.

HHS Director Cynthia Bennett informed the Board on their previous inquiry concerning outreach to Senior citizens in Aitkin County.

On the subject of Senior Citizen care, Lynn Jacobs of Aitkin County CARE spoke before the Board on their efforts with grocery delivery and pick-ups, among their numerous projects and initiatives.

Kathryn Beatty of ANGELS of McGregor talked about their organization’s response to COVID-19 and looking ahead in continuing their services.

The Board moved forward with approval on an agreement to purchase services from Compass Counseling Partners and a contract renewal for Lakes & Pines CAC, Inc. 

Aitkin County Health & Human Services Department will next meet with the Board of Commissioners on March 23rd beginning at 9am.
