Despite Pandemic, Hillsboro School Shows Growth Through NWEA Testing
Hillsboro, ND — Studies show that students learn the most while in the classroom, so when schools went into distance learning a little under a year ago and utilized a variety of learning modes this school year, there was fear that there would be learning loss. However, if the results from the standardized testing at the Hillsboro High School mean anything, it could be just the opposite. Hillsboro High School Principal Terry Baesler says from January last year to January this year, the school district actually saw some significant growth in the NWEA testing.
Principal Baesler gives credit to the students for persevering through the different learning modes and taking their schoolwork seriously.
The NWEA assessments and professional learning offerings have been in use for more than 40 years and is trusted by educators in more than 9,500 schools, districts, and education agencies in 145 countries.
