Capitol Update with 3a Rep. Rob Ecklund

International Falls – Back in session, Minnesota 3A Representative Rob Ecklund joined Friday’s edition of The Morning Show.
In the past week, Rep. Ecklund helped to pass funding directed to the agriculture bill. Ecklund explained that while agriculture may not be the most prevalent industry in Koochiching County, it has far-reached implications.
Today, Ecklund will be a part of the discussion surrounding chronic wasting disease in whitetail deer. Ecklund shared that the proposed bill would aid the Department of Natural Resources curb the disease within cervidae farms before it spreads to the native population.
In addition to the Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is now being distributed throughout Minnesota. Ecklund is excited to broaden the scope of vaccine eligibility to teachers, among other groups.
