Goose River Golf Club Now Open for Season
Hillsboro, ND — With the mild winter and below average snow fall Golfers in and around the Hillsboro didn’t have to wait long this year to hit the links as the Goose River Golf Club in Hillsboro is now Open for the 2021 season. Club Board President Ryan Opdahl says while the course isn’t in perfect condition, he’s just happy that he and other club members have the opportunity to play golf this early in the year.
Opdahl also says that with the coarse opening early it will allow the Hillsboro-Central Valley Golf team to practice on the course once their season begins next week as opposed to years past where the team has bussed to Fargo or Grand Forks and will allow the club to host more events for members during the year.
For the time being this clubhouse will still be closed, but Opdahl says people interested in golfing can either put money in the box next to the door or contact him to become a member.
Some COVID-19 safety precautions will still be in place to begin the year, Opdahl says people are encouraged to wear a mask and social distance from other groups while golfing and being in the clubhouse.
