City of Pequot Lakes Joins Broadband Coalition, Brings Back Patriot Avenue Redesign Committee
(PEQUOT LAKES, MN) — The city of Pequot Lakes held its latest regular council meeting on Tuesday, April 6. We spoke with Mayor Tyler Gardner to hear about the latest news with the city.
Gardner said the meeting was relatively short, but among the important issues discussed was the Patriot Avenue Redesign Committee, which had to suspend operations last year at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city has brought that committee back and it will start meeting and planning operations soon.
Gardner also provided an update on the situation involving Excel Energy and their construction plans on Larsen Parkway.
And finally, Gardner talked about the city’s decision to join some other cities, municipalities, and townships in the area for a broadband coalition.

We thank Mayor Gardner for his time. The city of Pequot Lakes will hold its next regular council meeting on May 4. Our full interview with Gardner can be found below.
