Clearbrook Man Sentenced for 2019 Stabbing in Rice Lake
Bagley, MN — Last week a Clearbook man was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder of Natasha Thompson of Rice Lake, Minnesota in July of 2019. Under a plea agreement, Tristan Kilde plead guilty to 2nd degree murder.
On July 31st, 2019 Kilde, who was age 23 at the time, was assaulting Thompson when he grabbed his knife, which was on his person, and then stabbed her. Deputies from Clearwater and Mahnomen Counties and officers from the White Earth Police Department responded to the call.
Upon arrival, Thompson was found lying outside a residence with an apparent stab wound to the chest. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
With credit for time served and good behavior, Kilde could get out in about 10 years when he will be 35 years old.
