Essentia Health hosting free education event on heart-failure medication

Medications are an important part of the treatment plan for heart-failure patients. That’s why Essentia Health is working to make sure those patients have the resources they need to best manage their health and medications. 

Essentia is hosting a free, hour-long virtual event at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13. Host Richard Mullvain, a cardiology pharmacist, will explain the best practices for managing your heart-failure medications to ensure maximum benefits and minimize side effects. 

Some medications are used to treat symptoms, while others are used for prevention. During the presentation, Mullvain will explain the differences to ensure patients have the best information to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. 

The event is funded by the Essentia Health Foundation’s Heltne Endowment, dedicated to the care of patients with heart failure. Register at EssentiaHealth.org/HeartFailureMedication.
