Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting from April 13th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday took into consideration numerous resolutions from their Departments leaders from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
The Board did approve the Consent Agenda including Search & Rescue donations from Haugen, Libby, and Pliny Townships, a K-9 donation from Dan and Joanne Lastavich, and amendments to 2021 Elected Officials Salaries.
Following the approval of an On and Sunday Sale Liquor License to The Craft House of McGregor, DNR Northeast Regional Manager Patty Thielen presented to Commissioners on the DNR’s latest work since the onset of COVID-19.
Human Resources Director Bobbie Danielson handed a resolution to the Board for hte Title VI Plan for the Highway Department.
That resolution was approved as well as setting the next forfeited land auction sale for June 4th 2021 at 1pm from the Aitkin County Fairgrounds, and the Land Department applying for the Expedited Conservation Projects Grant Program. The Board also awarded contracts to Gladen Construction of LaPorte, MN for numerous projects across Aitkin County. IT Manager Chris Sutch spoke to Commissioners on adjusting the county’s use of Office 365/Exchange.
Sheriff Dan Guida presented information on the Minnesota Department of Corrections Facility Inspection Report.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will next meet on Tuesday, April 27th at 9am from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
