Daniel Jossund Named MN FFA Star Farmer
Ada, MN — Congratulations is in order for Ada-Borup Senior Daniel Jossund, who was announced as the Minnesota FFA Star Farmer on Thursday morning during the Virtual State FFA Convention. Jossund was the named the Region 1 Star Farmer earlier this year and was one of four finalists for the award. Not only was Daniel surprised to receive the top honor, but he was also surprised that some of the FFA State Officers drove several hours to Ada to present it in person.
The FFA Star Farmer Award is the highest achievement Minnesota awards to students for their supervised agricultural experiences and is an accumulation of years of effort. Jossund says it’s an honor to be selected.
Jossund is not the first person from Ada-Borup to be selected as a Start Farmer. Michael Kitchell won the award in 2006. Also Charles Johnson won the Star Production Award in 2007 and Corey Jacobson won it in 2003.
Jossund plans to apply for American Star Farmer Award next. Listen to the full interview with Daniel Jossund below:
