Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida monthly update

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida was back for his monthly update with Line 3 construction in a holding pattern and law enforcement concerns after the fallout from the Derek Chauvin Trial and Brooklyn Center unrest.

Sheriff Guida noted the latest arrests from protestors interfering with the Line 3 pipeline updates.

After arrests, the protestors have seen little trouble posting bail for their charges with conditions.

As Aitkin County has posted overtime with regular duties and Pipeline patrol, help from across the state has answered the call for enforcement.

Recently, the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office was able to give thanks to the Office’s group of volunteers.
