Fertile City Council News & Notes from May 10th Meeting
Fertile, MN — The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, May 10th. At the meeting the council opened and approved bids for the airport runway project. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden says they are expanding and repaving their taxiway and aprons.
The council also approved a price increase for their cemetery lots. Administrator Liden says with the adjoining Concordia Cemetery recently raising their prices, they wanted to stay consistent.
It appears the former clinic office located at the Fertile City Center may have a new renter. Liden could not specify on who but does say it is another medical provider who is interested.
And the Fertile City Council approved a request from the local conservation club to acquire some clay for their new shooting range.
The council also continued reviewing their Golf Cart/Special Vehicle ordinance, approved a variance request, and approved a street closure for a Memorial Day Program.
