Pierz Mayor Talks Park Complex, Liquor Licenses from May 10 Council Meeting
(PIERZ, MN) — The city of Pierz held its first council meeting for the month of May on Monday, so we spoke with Mayor Dave Fischer to hear the latest.
Fischer began by discussing a request from a group of bar owners in Pierz for a discount on their liquor licenses given the shutdowns in the winter. The council decided to table the request for now, in light of the fact that they provided relief last year and are awaiting terms from the next round of COVID relief.
Fischer also brought up the council’s review of the city’s park complex pre-master plan, and when the public will be able to provide their input.
We thank Mayor Fischer for his time. The city of Pierz will hold its next regular council meeting on May 24. In our full conversation with Fischer, we also briefly discussed the city’s garage sales and buffalo feed coming up this month; this conversation can be found below.
