‘Walk with a Doc’ program comes to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center

(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby recently teamed up with an international program to better enhance physical activity and help reduce risks of many diseases.
“Walk with a Doc” started May 5th with Board Certified Pediatrician and Sports Medicine physician Wendi Johnson and we spoke to her on the inspiration of adding this program to the Cuyuna Lakes area.
The program, which has partnered with local organizations, to establish a set trail system and date for the walks.
Adding 10 minutes of activity a day, such as walking, is a small change that can make a big difference in lifestyles.
That activity will help reduce risk in many diseases, including coronary heart disease and Type 2 diabetes.
“Walk with a Doc” is the first Wednesday or each month, beginning at 4pm from the Hallett Community Center parking lot in Crosby at 4pm. Our full conversation with CRMC’s Dr. Wendi Johnson can be found here:
