(Aitkin, MN) — Providing critical eye care in the Aitkin area falls into the hands of the Eye Care Centers of Aitkin and McGregor, as they frequently work hand-in-hand with Riverwood Healthcare for patient treatments from basic examinations to emergency situations.
In our monthly conversation with Riverwood, we spoke to optometrist Dr. Steven Kinzer of the Eye Care Centers of Aitkin and McGregor on their work and their working relationship with Riverwood and Great River Eye Clinic in Crosby.
Emergency situations do present themselves on a regular basis for Dr Kinzer, and fellow optometrist Dr. David Hakes, to which protocols are set in place for when the patient has to be taken to another facility.
The Eye Care Centers also offer a free service for eye examinations for infants, which is a critical first step for quality vision health.
The other service for small children allows for early diagnosis of potential vision troubles that could present from year-to-year.
