Ada-Borup School Board Putting Final Touches on Consolidation
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup School Board had their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning, June 8th. It was the final meeting as the Ada-Borup School District as they will become the Ada-Borup West District on July 1st. Ada-Borup Superintendent Aaron Cook says they are finalizing the final details before the consolidation officially takes over next month.
The board also approved a resolution in support of the sale of the former Norman County West high school building to the City of Halstad.
Progress continues to be made on the construction of the office area and multipurpose gym. Superintendent Cook reminds anyone who may be coming on to campus in the coming weeks to use caution.
And the Ada-Borup school board also got an update on the budget, which Cook says is very healthy.
A number of staffing items were addressed as well. The Ada-Borup School Board approved hiring Mickenze Lehman and Mark Farwell as Social Studies teachers, Nicole Kluck and Erica Allrich as Elementary teachers, Lance Henrickson as Intergrationist/Interventionist, and Kaisa Jones for summer technology. They also accepted the resignation of Dan Sederquist.
