WATERING SCHEDULE AND TIMES:
Odd – Even Schedule
• Homes or businesses with even-numbered addresses may water their lawns on even numbered dates.
• Homes or businesses with odd-numbered addresses may water on odd-numbered dates.
Example: If you live at 13562 Memorywood Drive you could water the lawn on even numbered dates – July 18, 20, 22, and so on.
Lawn watering is not allowed between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on your scheduled days.
Exceptions: If you are watering from a private well on your property or using a water pump to move water from a lake or river you would be exempt from this watering restriction.
PROPERTIES WITH NEW SOD OR SEEDED AREAS:
An exception to the watering restrictions will be to allow proper watering of new sod or seeded areas. Daily watering of new sod and seed is recommended for the first 14 days to establish root growth. After two weeks, normal watering should be sufficient for establishing a new lawn. The planting of new sod or seed during very dry times of the year is discouraged.
FINES/VIOLATION SURCHARGES:
If compliance of the watering restrictions are not being adhered to the Baxter City Council will consider implementing fines.
