“Because of Brandon” to be featured on Community Connection

(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and the “Because of Brandon” diabetes education fundraiser will be the topic of Discussion for Community Connection on Thursday, July 8th on Home Grown Local Radio.
“Because of Brandon” all started as a way to honor the memory of Brandon Houge, who passed away unexpectedly from diabetes complications. The annual event will be held this year on Friday, July 23rd from 4-8pm at the Deerwood American Legion with all proceeds will fund youth diabetes camps, patient travel expenses, and educational events. That Saturday, July 24, will be an ATV Ride coordinated by the Cuyuna Iron Range Riders beginning at 9am, riders will meet at the Mississippi River Northwoods Trailhead.
Events will also include wine, beer, and spirits tasting with appetizers, silent auction, live music by Yesterdaze, raffles, bags tournament, beer garden, and pizza by the slice.
