(Crosby, MN) — The response for the return for the Because of Brandon Diabetes Education Fundraiser with Cuyuna Regional Medical Center has been above and beyond previous years with the annual event returning Friday, July 23rd at the Deerwood American Legion.
We spoke to CRMC Charitable Fund Coordinator Jennifer Podsiadly and event chair Doug Houge about the backstory of “Because of Brandon”
This year’s event will have beverage tastings, food, silent auctions, live music, raffles, and new activities.
There will also be an ATV ride on Saturday, July 24th.
Proceeds from the Because of Brandon fundraiser go right to funding youth diabetes camps, patient travel expenses, and educational events.
Children with diabetes also benefit by being sent to Camp Needlepoint on the St Croix River near Hudson, Wisconsin to have fun and learn.
