New Ulen-Hitterdal Superintendent Excited About Future of New District
Ulen, MN — Introducing Ryan Baron, the new part-time Superintendent of the Ulen-Hitterdal School District. Baron, a native of Browerville, MN and St. Cloud State Grad, took over July 1st for the now retired Todd Cameron. He got his start in education as a math teacher and eventually made his way into an administrative role where he most recently worked in the Tri-County School District, according to Baron.
Baron says the staff and community have been very welcoming and he’s looking forward to meeting everyone else. He notes that it’s quite apparent that this a strong and supportive district.
Superintendent Baron takes over as the board ponders a major project, a potential $1.1 million childcare expansion. While he is still learning about the proposal, Baron says school run daycares are starting to become more common given childcare trends.
Because his contract is only part time, Baron has also offered his services to the district for driving bus and filling in as a substitute. He also hopes to get involved with the local volunteer rescue squad.
