Highway 210 Deerwood-Aitkin traffic delays, detours continue through Summer

(Aitkin, MN) — A reminder from the Minnesota Department of Transportation that motorists will be encountering delays and changes to their commutes on Highway 210 between east junction Highway 6 in Deerwood and Ninth Avenue West in West Aitkin.
Crews will be repairing and improving nine miles of roadway on weekdays through late October. One lane will be closed at a time to make concrete surface repair and allow for 24-hour cure time.
Traffic impacts include Eastbound Highway 210 motorists will encounter one lane one-way traffic through the work zone with reduced speeds, lane shifts, flaggers and equipment. Access will be open to local traffic within the work zone. All drivers MUST GO EAST through the one-way work zone.
Westbound Highway 210 will be detoured between Aitkin and Deerwood with signs along Highway 169 Aitkin to Bennetville, then Aitkin County Road 11 and Crow Wing County Road 14 to Highway 6 Bay Lake, and back to Highway 210 Deerwood.
All lanes on Highway 210 will be open on weekends eastbound and westbound. More information on the Highway 210 road work information can be found on MnDOT’s website.
