Twin Valley Town & Country Days Joins Forces with All-School Reunion and Zion 100th Anniversary for Fun-Filled Weekend
Twin Valley, MN — The annual Twin Valley Town & Country Days will be extra busy this year! On top of the regular events, an All-School Reunion is on tap as well as the 100th anniversary celebration of the Zion Lutheran Church. Events begin this Friday, July 16th and continue through Sunday, July 18th. Tracy Christianson, Community Booster member and All School Reunion Chair, says having all three events at once is going to make for busy weekend.
Planning for the usual Town & Country Days is one thing, but Christianson adds that their All School Reunion Committee consists of an entirely new group of volunteers. She says getting it organized over the past couple years was a challenge.
Events for this year’s Town & Country Days begin Friday with Zion Open houses and church tours, all-school reunion registration, Steak night at the Twin Valley Liquor Store at 6:30pm followed by live music from the band Live English from 7-10pm. Following that, enjoy a professional fireworks display and family movie at the city public works shop.
Saturday’s activities include the newly added NCE PTO Color Run, Craft and Vendor Show, small engine display, parade, car show and kiddie car show, bouncy games, school tours, Zion cemetery walk and open house, bean bag tournament, tractor pull, bingo, baja, all-school reunion social and banquet, and a street dance.
Town and Country Days wraps up on the 18th with a Sunday-Funday that includes a Fireman’s breakfast, horse show, Zion Anniversary service, ATV scavenger hunt and more, according to Christianson.
Meat raffles are also planned all three nights at the Twin Valley Liquor Store. See the complete lineup of events by visit the Twin Valley Community Club Facebook Page or listen to the full interview with Tracy Christianson this Thursday on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program.
