Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District talk about recent drought conditions, low water levels

(Aitkin, MN) — The dry and drought-like conditions this summer have kept the Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation at bay while working on other projects, after learning more from District Manager Steve Hughes recently.
Hughes spoke on the dry conditions being of a historic nature.
Lakes and rivers have also seen unfortunate drops with the dry summer.
With the lack of rainfall, lakes have also been clear enough to allow for plant life to grow.
Aitkin County is also looking at adding more Aquatic Invasive Species inspectors.
The Soil & Water Conservation District is also working on another video project concerning forestry work.
