Brainerd Community Theatre to hold auditions in August

(Brainerd, MN) — In early August, Brainerd Community Theatre will hold auditions for upcoming fall productions and the rest of their 2021-22 season of plays.

Auditions are scheduled to take place for Monday, August 2nd and Thursday, August 6th at 6:30pm and Saturday, August 7th from 10am-1pm at the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College. 

Productions include “Wait Until Dark” calling for roles for 4 men, an adult woman, and a younger actress aged 10-14 with the show running October 21-13 and 28-30. 

“Elf” will run December 9-11 and 14-16 with 20 roles being filled for 4 men, 6 women, and a younger male actor aged 12-16.

“Amadeus” is looking for 6 men and two women with some non-speaking roles for several men and women. The history inspired drama will be running February 10-12 and 15-17.

“The Diary of Anne Frank” will be filling roles for 5 men and women, a young woman aged 12-18, and up to 3 non-speaking roles. That show is scheduled to run April 21-23 and 28-30.

Directors ask those auditioning to come with known schedule conflicts in hand for the time periods for the productions. More information on auditions, productions, and more can be found at
