Water Tower Project and Drought Concerns Lead to Water Restrictions in Barnesville
Barnesville, MN — The City of Barnesville held a special meeting on Tuesday to enact their stage 3 water restrictions, which would more strictly limit lawn watering practices. According to Barnesville Mayor Jason Rick, not only are they dealing with a drought like everyone else, but to complicate matters further the city is also in the midst of water tower project.
The Stage 3 water restriction means your lawn is probably going to suffer, but Mayor Rick says its what needs to be done to protect the city well.
Speaking of water, the city of Barnesville recently completed some maintenance work on their Blue Eagle Lake, including taking care of some of the weed growth in the lake this past week.
The Barnesville City Council also has a special city council meeting planned for this week to interview finalists for their City Administrator search and address a recent water main break.
