Lakes Area Music Festival events for this week

(Brainerd, MN) — Four of the next five days will be filled with events for the second week of the Lakes Area Music Festival. Orchestra and soloists from the nation;s top classical music institutions will provide entertainment that certainly can’t be missed.
Tonight, Wednesday, August 4th, LAMF will be presenting Partita, a celebration of woodwind instruments performed by guest flautist Emi Ferguson beginning at 7:30pm.
Friday, August 6th will LAMF artistic advisor and Baroque violinist Chloe Fedor with the recital event, Of Earth and Spirit.
And lastly, Saturday and Sunday, August 7-8, the string orchestra program of Spring Strings, at the times of 7:30pm on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
All performances will be held at the new Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd and will be available online through the LAMF’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Tickets are free of charge. For more information on events, go to lakesareamusic.org or call 218-ASK-LAMF.
