Oklee, MN – After 25 days citizens of Red Lake County can now rest peacefully as Eric Reinbold, a man charged with the murder of his wife, was arrested on Wednesday, August 4th. Reinbold was apprehended around 12:30 A.M. in an old homestead near County Road 1 of Red Lake County. Sheriff Mitch Bernstein says the whole ordeal left the community on edge. Reinbold was caught on trail cameras set up by local law enforcement, leading to his eventual arrest.

Sheriff Bernstein credits the work between law enforcement agencies of the area and local cooperation and support for Reinbold’s apprehension.

Public relief can be felt in Red Lake County after nearly a month of stress and uncertainty. Reinbold is now being held at the Pennington County Jail in Thief River Falls, Minnesota with a bail hearing set for Friday, August 6th.
