Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting for August 10th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will hold their first meeting of August on Tuesday from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.

Commissioners will seek approval for Business Development and Recreation Grant, a donation for Aitkin County Search & Rescue Donation, a resolution of an LG220 Application for Exempt Permit for The Ruffed Grouse Society, a resolution for County VSO Operational Enhancement Grant Program, and an agreement with MnDOT.

Social and Water Conservation District Manager Steve Hughes will present to the Board on the Snake River 1W1P Organizational options.

Health and Human Services Director Cynthia Bennett will be on hand to present an agreement to approve the new Freedom Clinical Supervision Contract.

Fiscal Supervisor Carli Goble will also give a presentation of the Draft 2022 Public Health and Human Services Budget, followed by County Auditor Kirk Peysar and CFO Kathleen Ryan will discuss with Commissioners setting a Public Hearing for New Off Sale Liquor License for Ukura’s Big Dollar.

Engineer John Welle will present to the Board on approving the ATV Ordinance revision and HR Director Bobbie Danielson will also be there to discuss approving the Personnel Policy update in regards to Temporary Positions and update the job description for Dispatcher/Jailer.

Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers will discuss adopting a resolution NTIA Broadband Development Grant Application and Facilities Coordinator Jim Bright will discuss to Commissioners on approving bids for Judicial Center Step Repairs. 

County Administrator Jessica Seibert will be seeking approval for Committee on the Whole Meeting, 2022 General governmental Preliminary Budget Presentation, 2022 Appropriations Discussion, and Administrator updates. 

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
