(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council reviewed a potential Airbnb application and reviewed the potential sale of the Bonnie Bell Mine during their regular meeting from Wednesday, August 4th.
Ironton City Council member Rose Stromberg spoke to RJ Broadcasting’s Doug Gillette about the Council’s decision and enforcement of unlicensed Airbnb’s operating within city limits.
Stromberg mentioned the measures the Council has taken leading up to possible legal issues and economic impacts of Airbnb’s in the community.
The Ironton City Council has also put into notice their intentions of repurposing the land of the Bonnie Bell Mine.
Stromberg says that previous attempts of turning the land into a campground were previously faltered, but there is hope for the future.
The Ironton City Council is next scheduled to meet on Wednesday, August 18th at 6pm from City Hall.
