McGregor School Board discusses COVID Preparedness, among other topics at Work Session on August 9th

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board’s Work Session Monday did encounter big issues of Strategic Planning, the Referendum Project, and other District programming at the High School Library.
Nexus Solutions, the firm incharge of the Referendum School expansions, presented to the Board on their plans for winter in regards to the steel and footings of the buildings.
Nexus will continue to review their options of insulating and not losing progress on the building projects. Superintendent and Elementary Principal Brad Johnson began discussion with the Board on COVID-19 Preparedness for the return to School in a few weeks.
The guidelines also outline the same information concerning cleaning methods, social distancing, contact tracing, and masks not being mandatory but optional. Board Chair Larry Doten spoke about the importance of the Social Emotional Learning Grant, which recently ended, as well as the transition between Elementary and Junior High.
The McGregor School Board will be holding Strategic Planning Meetings on August 17th, 31st, and September 14th at 6pm, with their regular meeting taking place on August 30th at 6pm.
