15th Annual Lakes Bluegrass Festival Ready to Roll for 2021

(BACKUS, MN) – The annual Lakes Bluegrass Festival was one of many COVID-related casualties in 2020, but it is set to return in triumphant fashion in 2021 from August 25-29 in Backus. We spoke with Tim Roggenkamp, one of the lead organizers of the event, to hear about what to expect for this year’s festival.
First, Roggenkamp offered an explanation of what the Lakes Bluegrass Festival is.
Among the changes to this year’s festival is the venue itself; Roggenkamp talked about the new venue for the festival and how things would get started.
Thursday, August 26 is when the events will begin to heat up at the festival, so Roggenkamp gave a rundown on the schedule of events for that day.
Friday and Saturday are the biggest days of the festival according to Roggenkamp, and this year those days will feature performances from a group he is excited about.
