Universal Road to be Closed Next Week

(BAXTER, MN) — Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, Universal Road from the intersection of Dellwood Drive approximately 130 feet to the east will be closed to thru traffic for construction.

The construction work preventing the thru traffic will occur on Universal Road in front of the proposed Jimmy John’s Development previously known as the Trump Store. Both entrances to Four Seasons Car Wash on Universal will remain open, however they will need to be accessed from the east from Golf Course Drive.

This road closure will not occur until after Dellwood Drive is back open to thru traffic which is anticipated to happen on Monday. The roadway is expected to be closed for approximately one week. During this time thru traffic should utilize alternate routes.  The City of Baxter will send an official notice of the re-opening when construction is complete. The purpose of this notice is to let you know of this work and to provide advance notice to emergency services to be aware of possible slow traffic or closed roadways. Please drive with caution when in a construction zone and expect traffic delays during this construction.
