Local Events Celebrate the Past in Tractor Show and Upcoming Heritage Days

Polk County, MN – Northern Minneosta often prides itself in remembering and preserving the past. Two events this summer are doing just that. Jerry Kaupang spoke about the recent Antique Tractor Drive in Winger, Minnesota. While many shows may keep the antique farm equipment stationary, Kaupang says this tractor show takes a drive, often varying in distance depending on the weather conditions and how many tractors show up. This year the event was held on a Sunday, meaning fewer numbers but a longer drive.
Kaupang says he plans to host the tractor drive ever year if possible. Another event that continually keeps the memory of northern Minnesota alive in the area is the annual Fosston Heritage Days. This year the Heritage Days will take place Saturday, September 11th. The Fosston Farmers Market will also take place this day, expecting a wider range of vendors due to the celebration.
