Hillsboro City Commission News & Notes

Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission had their 2nd regular monthly meeting last Monday, August 16th at the Hillsboro Community Center. The commission recently approved moving forward with a special election this November to fill a vacant commission seat. Hillsboro City Commission President Terry Sando shares some of the details on the election.
The commission last week also approved purchasing a camera for the city dump site, which President Sando says should deter and catch those who are using the site inappropriately.
The City of Hillsboro recently completed an audit of their trees and specifically those located in their boulevards. President Sando says there are a number of trees that should be removed due to disease.
And Sando says there was some continued discussions about clean-up and blight in the city.
The Hillsboro City Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
