C-I Board of Education updates Board member resignations, Safe Return to School plan

(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby-Ironton Board of Education officially accepted resignations from two Board members and reviewed the District’s Safe Return to School Plan during their regular meeting from Monday, August 23rd.
We spoke with Superintendent Dr. Jamie Skjeveland concerning Board procedures now with 4 voting members currently.
Skjeveland also noted that the School construction is beginning the transition from Phase 2 into Phase 3.
Phase 2 construction is slated to finish this Friday, August 27th, according to Skjeveland. Another big topic of concern for the Board was the 2021-22 Safe Return to School plan.
Skjeveland did also talk about Strategic Planning and their “World’s Best Workforce” initiative that will encompass staff into working with the Board.
During the meeting, the Board of Education did also approve the Cooperative Girls Hockey Sponsorship with Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton, Pequot Lakes, Pine River-Backus, and Walker beginning with the 2021-22 School Year.
The Crosby-Ironton Board of Education next meets Monday, September 27th at 6pm from the Forum Room of the Secondary Building.
