Lake Park-Audubon School Board News & Notes from August 23rd Meeting
Audubon, MN — The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 23rd. At the meeting the board approved moving forward with developing a new app via Aptegy. Lake Park-Audubon Interim Superintendent Dr. Tim Godfrey says it is part of his ongoing mission to increase communication efforts.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also approved their ESSER II budget, which is federal funding from the CARES Act. Dr. Godfrey says it will mostly be spent on curriculum and technology.
Also this week, the board reviewed a pair of applicants for the open school board position. However, Godfrey says the school board was split on who to choose.
And with $22 million Building referendum vote coming this November, Dr. Godfrey says they are working hard on continuing to get information out to the public about the need for the proposed elementary renovation and expansion and career and technical expansion.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also approved purchasing a new school vehicle, approved fuel bids, and approved a new key-fob security system.
