MnDOT holding another TPI project update on August 30th

(Duluth, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be holding another public meeting for a project update on the Twin Ports Interchange virtually on Monday, August 30th at 12:15pm.
Currently the TPI project is under major construction along the route with intersection closures for 22nd Avenue West and West Superior Street, with Superior Street reopening mid-September. Current Ramp Closures and Detours include southbound Highway 53 to Northbound I-35 and Southbound I-535, Northbound I-535 and Southbound I-35 to Northbound 53, Northbound I-535 to Southbound I-35, Southbound highway 53 to Southbound I-35, and Northbound I-35 to Northbound Highway 53. Lower Michigan Street is closed from near 15th Avenue West to 23rd Avenue West. Beginning in October, Lower Michigan Street will carry southbound I-35 traffic through the fall of 2022.
