Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida chats about ATV ordinance, speed enforcement, Back to School safety

(Aitkin, MN) — The end of the summer for the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office has been providing much more activity from the roads, to the lakes, and the return to the Fall.
In our most recent conversation with Sheriff Dan Guida, road construction in the County has kept the entire office busy with drivers going around construction signs.
As for events on the lakes, personal safety and poor decision making have led to deadly situations.
The Sheriff’s Office and Aitkin County also have been working on revising the ATV Ordinance on County roads.
This summer has also opened more opportunities at speed enforcement with the Minnesota State Patrol.
Once Labor Day comes and goes, schools will be back in session with children walking to and from and drivers need to be aware.
