McGregor School Board discusses Transportation Supervisor, personnel issues at September 13th meeting

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board reviewed personnel changes and discussed the Transportation Supervisor contract from the High School Library Monday night.
The Board did approve the language change in the Elementary Handbook for the section concerning name/picture being used within the District, a Memorandum of Understanding between the District and Bryce Koehler, and an individual contract with Allison Paquette for the 2021-22 school year to serve as a school nurse. Approval was also reached for the resignation of Philip Hawes as the math teacher, the hiring of full-time paraprofessional Cathy Twistol, and hiring of Joe Pierce as a route bus driver.
Elementary Principal and Superintendent Brad Johnson presented the details of the Transportation Supervisor contract.
The acceptance of the contract was tabled until their next meeting. Johnson did open discussion on the position changes within the District for employees that were recently hired and some adjustments for current staff.
The McGregor School District continues to advertise for math instructor, paraprofessional, and school bus route driver positions.
The Public School Board will have a Strategic Planning Meeting on September 20th with their next regular Board meeting on September 27th. Both meetings will be at 6pm.
