Crow Wing County Board Approves Preliminary Levy
(BRAINERD, MN) — The Crow Wing County Board held its first regular meeting of the month of September on Tuesday.
Among the central agenda items was a proposed amendment to the budget, which would account for the higher-than-expected surplus, specifically for land services.
The amendment was approved, and over $900,000 will be going toward said improvements.
Administrative services spoke briefly to promote the Crow Wing Historic Courthouse’s open house coming up during the Brainerd sesquicentennial.
The end of the meeting was dominated by a presentation on the preliminary budget levy for 2022.
The levy of 3.99% was approved unanimously. Over the coming months, more conversations will take place about the possibility of lowering that number, but it cannot go any higher.
