Fall Weather Outlook

West Fargo, ND — During his weather outlook seminar at Big Iron, Drew Lerner of World Weather Incorporated stated that every little drop of rain is going to be important this fall as we go into winter and face more potential drought concerns next summer. So far this fall we’ve seen relatively mild temperatures and finally a return of some wetter weather. However, Lerner says we’ll see a gradual shift in weather during the next couple weeks.

Lerner says the rainfalls that we get now this fall will be extremely important towards drought recovery as the rain we’ve gotten during the past month and half is not enough to sustain us next spring.

Lerner notes that by taking a look at weather patterns and examples throughout history, the evidence indicates that this drought pattern will mimic that of previous years, specifically 2003.
